Know your Rights

Financial Fitness for renters

Learn all about your rights and responsibilities as a tenant in this online workshop on September 24 at 5 PM (EST)!

Through real-life examples and a fun live quiz, we will explore the history of housing policy, covering the essential rights and responsibilities of both tenants and landlords under the Residential Tenancy Act (RTA) – and what to do if they’re violated.

Learn essential skills for managing rental costs, budgeting for rent, utilities and unexpected expenses.

Participants will gain insights into identifying hidden rental expenses, negotiating favourable terms, and protecting themselves from scams. The session empowers renters with practical tools to build financial stability.
